Description
Hillside Haven offers premium touches for the traveler who wants more than just a beautiful view. Hickory floors and kitchen cabinetry, granite counters, leather furniture, Donna Sharp quilts...just a few of the high end appointments to this fully remodeled, mountain-top cabin.
Located only 2.5 miles from the parkway (off traffic light 10, the very last one in Pigeon Forge), it's only a few minutes to Pigeon Forge and another 5 miles to Gatlinburg.
Hillside Haven has Viasat wireless internet that's perfect for surfing the internet or sending emails and photos. Sorry, this limited bandwidth service will not support video-streaming or Netflix. The fireplace is electric and has a remote control. The kitchen is fully appointed with quality cookware, dishes and everything you'll need for making a nice dinner at the cabin. In the living room, the 46" flat screenTV over the fireplace is set up with Dish Network (basic channels) and you can also watch DVDs. There is a second TV (32 inch) in the upstairs bedroom with a queen bed. Both the upper queen bed and main floor king bed have ceiling fans.
The Nordic hot tub is comfortable for 4 adults and lets you relax in privacy while looking out to the mountains. There's a nice picnic area just behind the house, too. It's ideal for enjoying lunch outside on a beautiful day. You can also cook out on the charcoal park model-style grill.
There are 21 stairs leading up from the parking area to Hillside Haven so if you have difficulty with steps, this may not be the cabin for you. We just want you to be aware of the stairs, in advance. The stairs and exterior of the house have good lighting at night.

This property is even better than what we imagined from the description provided prior to our stay. Everything was very clean and the information provided about the cabin was very accurate. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hillside Haven. We were able to relax and enjoy the place. Working with Amy on the reservation was a delight. She provided vary accurate information and answered all my inquiries in a very professional manner. We were very happy with our stay and especially enjoyed the way the cabin was decorated for Christmas. Every room was decorated and we were not expecting this at all. I would recommend this cabin with no hesitation. Excellent cabin for two couples.

Anne L. - 11/15/2016We had such a great time in the Smokies! Cabin was perfect. Close to Gatlinburg, but felt we were staying up far in the mountains. Liked how they had all the little things for you already. Felt like we were staying in a top hotel. If we had a question and had to call Amy, she responded right away.

Bill H. - 11/10/2016The cabin is immaculate, not like the typical rental cabin. So close to everything that you can be in town in less than 5 minutes but when start up the mountain and reach the cabin you feel as though you have left the busy World. Nice views of the mountains from the deck. Did a lot of hiking in the nearby parks then enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Positively would recommend the area and cabin to anyone, we will back one day and bring other members of our family. Huckabee family!
