Dolly Parton was in Pigeon Forge last week for filming of her latest made-for-TV movie. While there, she announced at a press conference that Dollywood is adding a 2.5 million dollar parade to its Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration that begins Nov. 5. If you’re planning to visit Dollywood later this year, the “Parade of Many Colors” will be featured as part of the nightly activities at the park. Here’s a link to Dollywood’s official post. This photo from the web site is an artist’s preview concept of the parade. Dollywood will also feature a new show, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” based on the Frank Capra 1946 holiday classic. Smoky Mountain Christmas runs from Nov. 5-Jan. 1, 2017.
